Individual Treatment Plans

Psychoeducation

Psychiatrists educate individuals and their families about ADHD, providing information about the disorder, its impact on daily functioning, and available treatment options. They help individuals understand their symptoms and develop coping strategies.

Behavioral Interventions

Psychiatrists may offer guidance on implementing behavioral interventions and strategies to manage ADHD symptoms effectively. These strategies can include organization techniques, time management skills, and developing routines to enhance daily functioning.

Medical Treatment Plans

Stimulant Medications: Stimulants are the most commonly prescribed class of medications for ADHD. They work by increasing the levels of certain chemicals in the brain that regulate attention and impulse control.

Non-Stimulant Medications: Some individuals may not respond well to stimulant medications or may experience significant side effects. In such cases, non-stimulant medications may be considered. These medications include, selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI), alpha-2 adrenergic agonist, etc.

Antidepressants: In some cases, certain antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help manage ADHD symptoms, particularly when there are coexisting conditions like depression or anxiety. Commonly used antidepressants include selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
